Orange County Health Care Agency Issues Ocean Water Closure Due to Raw Sewage Spill

The OC Health Care Agency’s (HCA) Environmental Health Division has closed the ocean water from Sleepy Hollow Lane to Cleo Street in the City of Laguna Beach to swimming, surfing, and diving due to a raw sewage spill.

The sewage spill of approximately 600 gallons was caused by a pump failure on a private property.

The affected ocean water area will remain closed to water-contact sports until the results of follow-up water quality monitoring meet acceptable standards.
